A creative component consists of "a written report based on research, library readings, or topics related to the student's area of specialization and approved by the student's advisory committee." Three credits of such independent work is required by the M.S. Agronomy program. The creative component requirement is the final culminating project for the program and comparable to a thesis in a traditional M.S. degree.
