Graduation
In order to be considered a candidate for graduation, you must:
- Be registered for at least 2 credits (Agronomy 599M) during the semester you plan to complete your Final Oral Examination (Creative Component)*
- Meet the ISU graduation deadlines
- Download and complete the Application for Graduation (Diploma Slip) and fax (515-294-5506) or e-mail (msagron@iastate.edu) it to us. This form is accessible by going to the above deadline site and selecting the semester you plan to graduate.
* University policy requires graduate students who are defending their Creative Component to register for at least 2 credits during their final semester to make sure they will be ready for the final oral exam. Most M.S. in Agronomy Program students register for 2 credits of Agronomy 599M, with their major professor's permission, during the last semester in their program. Students can register for these credits anytime during the semester, and should contact Jesse Drew to do so. However, it is recommended that students don't register for these two credits until they have set a date to defend their Creative Component. Please visit the Creative Component Steps web page for a complete overview/requirements.
